Job Description - Clinical Statistician
The Procter & Gamble organisation is looking for a clinical statistician to join
the statistics department of the European pharmaceutical business based in
Egham, Surrey. This position is part of the global Biometrics and Statistical
Sciences department which has approximately 100 statisticians and statistical
analysts working in clinical trial, consumer research and manufacturing
activities.
An exciting opportunity exists to work closely at the interface of R&D and
commercial activities to identify and deliver significant analyses to support
key commercial strategy plans. Use of innovative statistical techniques will be
encouraged to provide a competitive advantage.
Primary responsibilities will comprise of analysing and reporting results from
key phase III-IV clinical trial databases. A major part of the role will
involve data-mining to provide additional insights that can be successfully
converted into scientific and commercial communication. Proactive participation
in a multi-disciplinary team, comprising of both commercial and technical
functions, will be expected with the opportunity for close interaction with
external experts.
The ideal candidate will have recently graduated with either a MSc or PhD in
applied statistics. The candidate will show strong technical skills,
leadership, innovation and a successful ability to collaborate with both
commercial and R&D.
