Dear all
Exeter's policy is:
- students with poor track records can be asked to pay full fees up
front before re-registering for a new academic session.
- students from Nigeria and Cameroon are always required to pay all
annual fees up front, due to the history of bad debts when students
cannot get money out of these countries. (I hear students form
Zimbabwe are currently having the same difficulties).
Otherwise we pick poor payers up during the year, and de-register
them (after suitable warnings) if they do not bring accounts up to
date.
Since the reasons for taking this action is in all cases the result
of specific debt experiences, we do not believe there is any form of
discrimination. We would welcome the views of others on this.
