HESA has formed a small group to begin the periodic review of the Staff
Record, whose turn has come. I have been asked to take soundings on how
much, and what, use is in fact made of the existing staff record and about
perceived deficiencies.
May I please put 4 questions to the list? I will summarise responses to the
list.
Q1: Do you use the HESA Staff Record data?
If so, which series?
If not, have you considered doing so and decided against?
What were the man considerations against?
Q2: Are you using the Staff Record data in returning to the funding
councils Human Resource (or similar) Strategies?
Q3: Do you use the data to help inform your academic staff recruitment?
Q4: What main deficiencies in the data would you want to see repaired?
If there was a chance of quick responses, as always, I should be very
grateful.
Thanks for your help!
