Thanks Peter, for sharing your excellent online materials. A few years ago,
I produced a written Introduction to the Research project which was used to
introduce a series of 3 workshops held in the Summer Term of Level 2. The
programme enabled us (in a total of 9 staff contact hours) to support around
150 illustration, graphics and 3D design students through the process of
thinking about their preferred research styles, finding out about different
research techniques and moving through preliminary research to a more
detailed proposal, and certainly helped to cope with a reduction in
individual tutorial time(and earlier hand-in date) in their final year. It's
not online and needs updating but I'd be happy to send a copy to anyone
interested.
