Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to ask for some methodological help. I have a Masters
student who wants to carry out a survey of perceptions of and
attitudes to disability among architects in Northern Ireland. As part
of the interview we thought it might be useful to test interviewees
understanding of accessibility issues by presenting each with small
building plans, with different shortcomings, and asking each to
identify accessibility problems. Does anybody know of a similar
research instrument which has been tried and tested? It seems such an
obvious thing to do that I'm sure it has already been done, but we
have found nothing in the literature.
Any references or suggestions would be very welcome.
Regards,
Chris
