Hi all
I went to the launch last night of the Design Council and Helen Hamlyn
Research Centre's new web site on inclusive design
www.designcouncil.org.uk/inclusivedesign
and it contains work by the researchers and case studies of products, etc
that they have developed along with suggestions for educational briefs. This
is an interesting site and has much potential. I still remain unconvinced
about the use of simulation exercises feeling that unless extremely
carefully managed they do more harm than good, leading to a false sense of
understanding about being a disabled person. However, there is plenty here
to be commended on this exciting web site.
