This may sound like reinventing the wheel but it is not.
I have a multi-switch input device from the TASH line #5024 PENTA
illustrated in
http://www.tashinc.com/catalog/s_multiple_switches.html
This switch assembly is for a disabled person. My objective is to use the
PENTA and allow that person to play videogames as in the latest PlayStation
and Nintendo videogame cubes.
The game controllers for these game cubes have USB input connectors.
The TASH type switches have a DB-9 connector with ON-OFF functionality only.
There are off-the-shelf serial port DB-9 to USB adapters for around $30 a
unit. I don't know anything about these USB adapters.
Is it possible to plug in the PENTA switch device with a DB-9 connector to
this USB adapter and get it to play videogames?
If possible does anyone know the DB-9 pin-outs I have to comply with.
The Pathways Development Group
http://www.pathwaysdg.com/txn64_details.htm
has a TASH switch compatible interface box to the NINTENDO cube. I am
thinking of a simpler solution.
Thanks in advance.
