I have a patient CSF specimen with an albumin of 6.7 mg/dL (13-25) yet a
normal CSF IgG (2.5 mg/dL), Sr Albumin (4850 mg/dL) and normal Sr IgG (1030
mg/dL). There are no oligoclonal bands on CSF electrophoresis. As a result
of low CSF albumin, the patient's IgG index is 1.8 (<0.7) and Synthesis is
5.1 (<3.3)
I am looking for any information on what could cause a low CSF albumin
Thanks
