I am pleased, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, to invite you to the
next Biennial Technical Meeting and Exhibition of SAGA (South African

Nestled on the slopes of an ancient volcano, in the malaria-free Pilanesberg
National Park, the conference will be aimed at bringing together academics
and professionals interested in a broad range of state-of-the-art
geophysical approaches to tracking down the "Big Five" mineral deposits of
southern Africa: Diamonds, Ferrous metals, Fossil fuels, Gold, and Platinum.
The Pilanesberg also offers the opportunity to see another "Big Five": Lion,
Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, and Leopard. A picture galery of the place where
