The European MA in Migration, Mental Health and Social Care is now
recruiting students for the next academic year. It is hoped that the course
will be taught at a central London location.
The course is part-time over two years and is taught by staff from the
Tizard Centre at the University of Kent, Canterbury. It is a course for
those who work in services for multi-ethnic populations and are concerned
about the delivery of effective mental health and/or social care services to
black, minority ethnic and/or refugee communities.
The course is run in partnership with University of Utrecht in the
Netherlands, the University of Orebro, Sweden, and the Universidade Aberta,
Portugal and draws on expertise in this subject area from a variety of
European countries. Students from the four institutions are encouraged to
share ideas and experiences at the three international workshops that are
part of the course, via teaching exchange and the Internet.
Further details about the course and the modules taught can be found on our
web site: http://www.ukc.ac.uk/tizard/EuroMA.htm
