1st Annual Student Conference on Forced Migration
Oxford University, February 22nd, 2003
The growing national and international interest on the refugee phenomenon is
currently reflected in the growing number of students working in the field
of Forced Migration in the UK. Postgraduate students in different
universities are researching various aspects of the issue from different
perspectives.
The organisation of the First Annual Student Conference on Forced Migration
responds to the need for a postgraduate student forum organised entirely by
students with the aim of creating a relaxed and supportive environment in
which postgraduates can meet, present and share their research and their
experience.
All post-graduate students (MA/MSc/MPhil/PhD, etc.) studying any aspect of
Forced Migration are invited to submit abstracts for papers, workshops,
posters or any other input they wish to share.
Deadline for abstracts - 1st of December, 2002
Please send abstracts (no longer that 200 words) along with a personal
profile to [log in to unmask] by December 1st, 2002
For any further enquiries, email us at [log in to unmask]
Please pass this call on to any potentially interested students!!
The registration fee for the conference will be 10 pounds. Some
accommodation can be provided (if required) by MSc students of the Refugee
Studies Centre in Oxford. Other travel costs will be borne by delegates
themselves.
