To all members belonging to centres within universities - what about a
major project in the history of people of African, African-Caribbean and
Asian descent in the UK? Or a sociological investigation into 'race' and
ethnicity - S.Patterson's 'Dark Strangers' revisited... a cartography of
'race' by investigating 'racing' in key regions of the UK? (similar to what
the IRR did in the '70s) Or cultural identity and the re-shaping of
Britishness through carnival and the arts???? Go for it!!!!
