Archivist (Special Collections)
With responsibility for the University of Leeds Archives, you will manage,
develop and promote the archive of this major research university. In
addition, you will join the Special Collections team, providing advice and
guidance to users of the collections. Key responsibilities include the
acquisition and cataloguing of new material, provision of an enquiry service
and development of the Special Collections website.
You will have a professional archival qualification (or substantantial
relevant experience), with a good knowledge of manuscript cataloguing
standards. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, and good IT skills
(including web authoring) are essential. You will be self-motivated, able
to manage and prioritise your workload. Knowledge of subjects relevant to
the holdings of Special Collections is desirable.
Grade: Senior Library 1/2 (£17,626 - £26,491).
