Further to Carl Boardman's posting, I wondered if anyone had experience of
the HAY system of evaluation?
We work in the archives dept. of a major UK bank, HBOSplc (previously
Bank of Scotland until merger with Halifax last year) and are about to
undergo evaluation using the above system. Am concerned that the
methodology used (and in particular the scoring mechanisms) will count
against us if ratings are based on size of budgetry controls, numbers of
staff etc. As a small specialist unit in a huge company, with a tiny
budget, we could be quite vulnerable . . .
Am anxious to do my homework, so if anyone has any background info on
HAY and how the scoring mechanisms work, I'd really appreciate it. I
understand, for example, that there are certain 'trigger' words which
carry a lot of weight, but no idea what they might be!!!!
Many thanks,
Helen Redmond-Cooper
