UCL is looking for some practical visits for the students studying the MA
in Archives and Records Management and the MA in Records and Archives
Management (International). We have many organizations and individuals who
already support the students on the programmes by speaking to them about
their work or by hosting visits and practicals: we are very grateful to
them all for being so willing to help us.
However, we are looking for some extra practicals this year, specifically:
a non-current records centre which could host a visit by a group of about
15 students on the afternoon of Wednesday 13 November to have an
introduction to your work and a tour/demonstration of the storage areas and
systems.
a records management service which could host a practical appraisal project
for about 30 students on the afternoon of 30 October: this should involve
some hands-on work by the students (probably file-by-file appraisal)
As the students are based at UCL in Bloomsbury, both practicals need to be
in or near central London.
If anyone thinks that they might be able to help with either of these, or
wants further information, please contact me.
Thank you.
