The TUC has a vacancy for a Records and Information Officer based within the TUC Information Service at Congress House, London WC1B 3LS
Salary £21,905 - £23,780 per annum, including LW
The TUC's Information Service provides a variety of information research facilities for TUC staff and full time officers of affiliated trade unions. The successful applicant will play an active role in the development of an effective records management programme, incorporating the use of electronic document management systems to service the needs of TUC staff both in Congress House and the Regions. The Information Service comprises a small team and the post holder will be required to work closely with colleagues day to day on a range of other information activities, including enquiry work.
As well as having experience of records management in a large organisation, applicants will also need:
* a relevant professional information qualification or equivalent
* knowledge of records management systems and procedures
* understanding of electronic document management systems
* IT skills - familiarity with Windows operating system and local area networks
In addition to the above, for all posts you will need the ability to work flexibly within a team and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
