Temporary Lectureship in Archives and Records Management
The School of Library, Archive and Information Studies at UCL invites
applications for a half-time temporary lectureship in Archives and Records
Management. The post is available from 1 September 2002 until 30 June 2003.
The person appointed will contribute to the teaching of the MA in Archives
and Records Management and the MA in Records and Archives Management
(International) in two or more of the following areas: archival
description, access to records and archives, management skills,
professional contexts and development. S/he will have a postgraduate
qualification in archives and records management, and at least two years
professional work experience in archives and records management, plus
relevant experience in teaching or training in an academic department or
professional work environment. Experience of, or interest in records issues
overseas is desirable.
Research areas in archives and records management within the School
include: electronic records management, EAD and electronic delivery of
archival material (LEADERS project), preservation management, and
professional education and development.
The lectureship is offered on lecturer A/B scale with a salary of up to the
equivalent of £32,537 full-time. A London allowance of £2,134 is also payable.
