JOHN RYLANDS UNIVERSITY LIBRARY OF MANCHESTER
Assistant Archivist (Geotechnical Archives).
You will work on the Archives of Peter Rowe and Edgar Morton.
Your primary task will be the physical and intellectual arrangement
and computerised cataloguing of the archives. The promotion of
access to the collections will also be an important component of
the post.
You should have a postgraduate Diploma in Archive Administration
or equivalent and excellent communication and IT skills.
Candidates who are expected to complete an archive course next
summer may apply. Relevant Library or archive experience, and a
knowledge of the fields of geotechnical science, soil mechanics
and/or civil engineering would be an advantage.
Salary in the range £17,626 - £19,681 per annum.
