Contrary to rumours circulating (and a misleading newspaper article), Conwy
Archive Service was NOT affected by fire at the weekend.
There was a fire in the old infant's school which is some distance away and
is not linked to the archive building. No archives have ever been stored
there.
One council dept. did use the building to store furniture, duplicate
departmental paperwork and paper copies of computer drawings.
If you hear any of these rumours, we would be grateful if you could set the
record straight.
Many thanks
