Graduate Archive Trainee
Salary Sec/Cler Grade 2: £10,558-£12,404 per annum pro rata
This post provides an opportunity for a graduate wishing to enter the
archive profession to gain experience in archive work prior to undergoing
professional training on one of the recognised archive courses. The trainee
will be expected to produce documents, list records, assist with displays of
archival and museum material and answer written, telephone and e-mail
enquiries. Although the post is primarily for a person seeking a career in
archives the trainee will also be expected to help the College Librarian on
occasions and also assist in the management of the College’s collection of
medical and surgical instruments.
Applicants should have an Honours degree at 2:1 level or above, excellent
communication skills, experience of working with computers and experience of
or an enthusiasm for working in an information service.
