Temporary Archivist (12 months)
37 hours per week
County Record Office, Warwick
Scale 5 £15,741-£17,265 (pay award pending)
Warwickshire County Record Office is seeking to appoint a qualified
archivist for a period of 12 months to provide additional professional
support during a very busy period for the office. The office is undergoing
a major extension and refurbishment programme, hoping to re-launch in
improved premises in Spring 2003.
The temporary archivist will take the place of a permanent member of the
archivists' team while she temporarily takes on a project support role. You
will be involved in supervising a reduced microfilm service from Warwick
Library, and in a retro-conversion programme which aims to produce content
to allow us to provide public access to electronic catalogues at the point
of re-opening the service.
This is an exciting opportunity which would suit a newly qualified
archivist who is willing to work flexibly within a team to help shape the
future of the record office.
For an informal discussion please contact either Mark Booth, Senior
Archivist (Collections) on 01926 412507 or Caroline Sampson, Head of
