Assistant Archivist - Cosmic Rays and the Solid State
National Cataloguing Unit for the Archives of Contemporary Scientists
A qualified archivist is required for this phase 2 Access to Archives
(A2A) project which is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The role will involve cataloguing the archives of six twentieth century
University of Bristol physicists who worked in the area of cosmic rays and
solid state physics, for incorporation into the national online A2A
website.
A familiarity with CALM 2000 archives software is highly desirable. The
project will run from 1 June 2002 to 31 March 2004 and it is essential
therefore that the successful candidate is able to start promptly.
Salary in the range £17,626 - £19,681 per annum
Closing date for applications is Monday 13 May. Interviews are scheduled
for 16th and 17th May.
