Forgive me if this is an inappropriate notice for this particular arena, but
I am hoping one of you clever bods out there might have the answer (...and
it is Friday). A friend of mine used to type the autocue for programmes like
"Jackanory", and party political broadcasts, and all kinds of BBC stuff.
When she retired her machine was retired with her, and the latter took up
residence in my spare bedroom. It is a sturdy old electric typewriter, and
vaguely historic in a 1970s kind-of-way. I'm trying to find a home for it,
and wondered if anyone could think of an institution where it might be
welcome. Otherwise it's off to the Civic Amenity Site I fear. I wouldn't
mind delivering it somewhere ( postage might be rather horrendous given its
fairly ample dimensions !.
Many thanks for any ( kind!) suggestions
Helen
