If it's any consolation, I persuaded my upwardly mobile (well, someone in
the family had to be) and dearly beloved sister, a reporter for BBC Radio
4's 'You and Yours', to run a piece on archives and social inclusion
recently, having waved a copy of the NCA's 'Taking Part' publication under
her nose. She visted Derbyshire Record Office, the Casbah project and the
Nottinghamshire Living History Archive and spoke to Dawn Routledge at
Resource/NCA. The piece was only about 5 or 6 minutes long, but was really
very good and will have hopefully served to correct a few misconceptions. I
am happy to forward a copy to anyone who might be interested.
Cheers
Rich
