A Happy New Year to You All!
I have occasionally come across the text of emails, which I have sent to
enquirers, being incorporated in the website of whatever it was they were into.
Although I was given attribution, and the details were correct, they were still
used without my permission and I shudder to think what form other of my hurried
answers have ended up in. Although corporate e mail signatures include things
like 'this email is for your eyes only' and 'has been swept for all known monty
python viruses', should we be thinking about a reminder that intellectual
(however foggy) copyright remains with the author or institution? Or just a C
copyright sign?
