Dear Caro,
I do not have any advice to give directly but can suggest that you contact
the curators of the STRANG PRINT ROOM at UCL. I studied History of Art and
Conservation within the HoA dept and one part of the course focused on the
preservation and restoration of works on paper under the guidance of Tanya
Cooper and Emma Chambers at the Strang.
Books are not their primary material but I am sure they will be able to
help. You can find out more on the UCL site at www.ucl.ac.uk
Good Luck
