Here's an interesting one, from an episode of Frasier yet to be
screened in the UK. It's about Frasier having to deliver a speech in
Hebrew at his son's Bar Mitzvah. Because Frasier can't speak
Hebrew he askes the station trekkie, Noel, to write it for him. But
Noel asks Frasier for a favour in return. To quote from the Star
Trek website:
"Noel needs Scott Bakula's autograph to complete his collection,
but he can't attend himself because William Shatner's restraining
order against him is still in effect. ("It wasn't even a real phaser!")
So Frasier agrees to do it, and Noel hands him a picture of Bakula
as Captain Archer within an acid-free covering, and cotton gloves to
handle it with. "
Note the reference to "acid-free covering" and "cotton gloves"! Are
we finally getting the message across?
