Oh yes - archivists married to archivists are completely mad. The drive home
in the evening goes, "We had this absolute imbecile in the searchroom
today...."; "You think that's bad? One of mine ate the documents. And the
Bursar threw my Freedom of Information report in the bin."; "Only in the
bin? The Treasurer recycled mine as a paper plane, and our budget's been cut
to £4.23 a year."; "A whole £4.23? I've been asked to pay for the privilege
of working there...." On a good day you can both be suicidal by the time you
reach home.

Would any of those married to archivists care to comment?
