Dear Colleagues: Excellent discussion of a key topic, in my opinion. I would
offer not only what Carl has said above but, beyond that, it is important
that we integrate our strategies for paper, other analog (e.g., microform,
audio/videotape) and (digital) electronic records (including web-based
records), so that we don't present to the unsuspecting public and other
users the old silo approach to information that was such a drag in legacy
systems. Rather, they should be able to find how to access all related
records through a single request.
