Consultant Statistician
From £22,500 (dependent on on experience) + benefits
Providing a high-level statistical service to individuals, work groups and
projects, you will use your expertise to support a wide range of business
activities within our health and environmental sciences functions at
Jealott’s Hill, UK, Basel, Switzerland, and Greensboro, North Carolina. In
this role you will advise on experimental design and experimental
strategies. You will analyse, interpret, and report the results of
experiments, providing technically sound solutions to practical problems.
You will use your numerical skills to help develop methodology in risk
assessment, and you will have opportunities to engage in applied research
of relevance to our business.
Ideally you will have a first degree or equivalent in a maths-related
subject plus an MSc or PhD in applied statistics. You could be an
established professional with several years’ experience of applying
statistics in a pharmaceutical or similar organisation, or a recent
graduate. In either case you will provide the drive and enthusiasm to take
advantage of our in-depth training and development programme.
You will be an enthusiastic and supportive team member and have a friendly
approachable style of working. You will have excellent technical
competence, the ability to deliver to tight deadlines, strong analytical
skills and a broad knowledge of the application of statistical methods to
