Dear All,
Suppose we have three types of diseases. A, B, and C. Suppose we observe X,
Y, and Z new episodes in a year for diseases A,B,C respectively (x,y, and
z NOT equal). Suppose further that X,Y, Z is observed on D,E,F individuals
being followed in a year. (D,E,F NOT equal).
When we are calculating incidence (per person per year), do we correct for
differences in D,E,F (which are different sample sizes)?
Boniface.
