A such project seems too ambitious and expensive! A feasible and first
attempt would be to consider e.g. software for exploratory analysis only.
Assuming you've resources to carry out a such huge project, you may include
ASP, DUAL3, GAUSS, LISREL, MLwiN, RATS, SCA, STATA, TSP, SIMSTAT, etc....You
may find helpful to consult http://www.statistics.com .
ASP, STATA and Simstat are general purpose. LISREL and MLwiN are more
specialized in structural equations modelling while GAUSS, RATS, SCA, and
TSP are more specialized in time series analysis. DUAL3 is data exploratory
analysis software; it is comparable to ViSta.
In addition to the list resulting from merging the three lists (John, Mike,
Ray), there is an endless list of very specialized software from various
academic fields of research. For instance, in educational psychology there
are Genova, Noharm, etc....Another popular software in qualitative analysis
is Nudist. Definitvely, consulting http://www.statistics.com would be very
benefit.
Good luck,
Ray.
