Dear all,
I am seeking some advice regarding control charts or methods, and which
would be the best to use in certain situations.
1. If I have information on two ingredients (namely just a batch no.) of a
product and the final result of mixing must be of at least a certain
strength then what type of control chart is required?
I was thinking np charts but was unsure how to implement this.
2. If one is wishing to monitor/ control the number of accidents that occur
within an office environment and the only data held is a monthly total of
accidents over the last few years then, again what chart/ procedure should
be implemented?
I was thinking along the lines of a Cusum plot but again was not certain of
how this would work.
3. Finally, how does one achieve a reduction of waste of an extremely
expensive material during production at speed, again where certain weight
targets have to be met, i.e. every unit has to be above a particular weight,
though this can be hampered by machinery clogging up with residue, which we
clearly wish to control so that cleaning is controlled as large scale
cleaning is extremely expensive?
Many thanks in advance.
