Senior Statistician

Clinical Pharmacology

- part time employment is possible -


As a member of our global Biostatistics Clinical Pharmacology group you
will:
· Act a member of International Clinical Pharmacology teams
· Bring statistical expertise to the generation of the pharmacological
concepts of early clinical development projects.
· Participate in the planning and initiation of clinical studies by
proposing design and analyses in cooperation with other team members.
· Prepare analysis plans, implement exploratory and confirmatory
analyses in support of trial objectives and prepare statistical sections
for clinical trial
      reports.
· Support the preparation of NDA integrated summaries of effectiveness
and safety.
· Development and implementation of novel statistical procedures in
design or analysis


Your Qualifications:
· MSc in Statistics
· At least 5 years experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Research
and Development.
· Broad experience in experimental design, exploratory and confirmatory
data analysis.
· Basic knowledge of pharmacological/physiological sciences and PK/PD.
· Creativity, analytical thinking, good interpersonal skills,
attention to quality and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
· Good knowledge in scientific computation, SAS


Further desirable qualifications would include experience/knowledge in:
· S-Plus

Statistician
Early Pharmaceutical Development


As a member of our global Biostatistics section you will:
· Work in close collaboration with pre-clinical scientists and early
phase clinical statisticians to evaluate and select potential
pharmaceutical products for
      early clinical development.
· Advise on the planning of studies by proposing experimental designs
and their analyses.
· Carry out analyses for GLP-studies and as a statistical consultant to
solve problems on an ad-hoc basis.
· Perform exploratory data analysis of pre-clinical experiments.
· Recognize opportunities for innovation and implement innovative
designs and analysis approaches.
· Provide statistical training to the scientists


Your Qualifications:
· MSc in Statistics.
· At least 5 years experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Research
and Development, preferably in the pre-clinical area.
· Broad experience in experimental design, exploratory and confirmatory
data analysis, interpretation of statistical results.
· Basic knowledge of pharmacological/physiological sciences
· Creativity, analytical thinking, strong interpersonal skills,
attention to quality and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
· Good knowledge of scientific computation, SAS.

Biostatistician
Stochastic Modeling and Related Techniques


  As a member of our global Modeling and Simulation group you will:
  · Apply stochastic modeling and related techniques to drug development
  projects, by using methodes such as simulation, exploratory data
  analysis, pattern recognition and decision analysis.
  · Use such techniques to support the optimal design of clinical
  projects and trial protocols and in the planning and analysis of
  population kinetics/ dynamics studies.
  · Keep up-to-date with state of the art in application of such
  methodologies to drug development and communicate new development and
  findings to the Biostatistics Section and Clinical Teams.
  · Identify opportunities for innovative application of stochastic
  modeling and related technologies to drug development and implement them.

  Your qualifications:
  · Experience in Modeling and Simulation Techniques and its application
  in Pharmaceutical Development or related areas.
  · Knowledge of inferential and exploratory statistical analysis, drug
  development and/or pharmaceutical and/or physiological sciences
  · PhD in Statistics and recent record of relevant publications
  · Creativity, analytical thinking, strong interpersonal skills,
  attention to high quality and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams

  Further desirable qualifications would include experience/knowledge in:
  · Scientific computation, SAS
  · PK/PD modeling and evaluation
  · Decision Theory
