SALARY: £22,057 - £27,574 per annum (pro-rata for part-time/job
share), Bar Point: £25,334
LOCATION: Information Services Unit, NYCRIS, Cookridge Hospital
HOURS: 37 hours (part-time hours and/or job share will be
considered)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Medical Statistician to
contribute to the changing agenda of cancer services both locally and
nationally. You will be responsible for providing expert statistical
input and advice relating to all NYCRIS cancer information outputs
which include reports, scientific papers and electronic products, and
playing a key role in an ongoing programme of epidemiological
research. You will also be involved in the design, development and
analysis of projects, both in-house and collaborative, which utilise
NYCRIS data.
You should have a postgraduate qualification in medical statistics
and/or a degree in mathematics/statistics (preferably with a medical
statistics component) and a minimum of one year’s relevant
experience. You should also have good communication skills and the
ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team. This post
provides an opportunity to participate in the training and education
programme attached to the Biostatistics Department within the
University of Leeds.
