UK Transplant is a Special Health Authority of the NHS with responsibility for providing support to transplantation services across the United Kingdom.
We have the following vacancy within our Communications Directorate:
INFORMATION OFFICER (STATISTICS)
Salary £18,250 pro rata, 20 hours per week - Ref IOS
Acting as part of a small highly motivated team this is an opportunity to work within an interesting and challenging environment. Your prime responsibility will be providing accurate information to a wide audience: from the transplant community and the NHS to members of the public and media. A strong statistical background (with a related degree) should be combined with an enthusiasm to promote the ideals of UK Transplant.
Ideal candidates will need to display excellent communication skills; have the ability to deal with sensitive and complex issues; be competent in extracting information from the National Transplant Database; and present material appropriately in a variety of formats. We are seeking a proactive individual capable of prioritising workloads in order to meet multiple deadlines.
Experience of the SAS statistical package, SQL, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are essential.
