options are available.
For full-time students, funding will be available from October 2002 from the EPSRC. Full
funding (maintenance and fees) of four studentships in any area of Mathematics, Probabilty or
Statistics will be available to UK Nationals only. EPSRC fees-only funding is available for
other European Union students which may be made fully-funded with a University of Sussex
Teaching Assistantship.
Research students in Probability and Statistics are based in the Centre for Statistics and
Stochastic Modelling. The academic areas in Probability and Statistics are as follows;
Sequential analysis and decisions,
mathematical biology,
probability theory,
clinical trials.
