Consultant Statisticians
Process Development and Production
Attractive salary and flexible benefits package
Macclesfield, Cheshire
This is an excellent and exciting opportunity for MSc or PhD level
statisticians to join AstraZeneca's highly successful Statistical Sciences
Group. The Group is well respected with a proven track record of using
Statistical tools and thinking to solve critical business problems. We
provide essential support across the organisation from Research, through
Development (excluding clinical science), to Production.
We have a number of positions available within Process Development and
Production, where you will perform a challenging range of tasks. For
example would you like to use your skills to help Chemists rapidly develop
bulk pharmaceutical processes? Or use your skills to improve a wide variety
of business processes across Production and other aspects of the supply
chain.
We are looking for capable and confident people who combine their technical
ability with good people skills, and the drive to make a real difference.
We are interested in people who already have direct relevant experience and
those who are keen to develop. We will provide you with the training you
need in both consultancy skills and science areas to excel in your work.
Whether you're a recent graduate, or someone with many years' experience,
this is an excellent opportunity. At whichever level you join us, you'll
find the opportunity to develop your career and provide a well-rewarded and
recognised service to our company.
For the development role, knowledge and interest in experimental design and
chemometrics would be especially relevant. Production and supply chain
roles would benefit from knowledge and interest in variation reduction and
business process improvement methods.
Statistical thinking is a great asset to any business. If you would like to
be part of a team that constantly strives to demonstrate this across a broad
range of scientific areas, and succeeds, please send your CV and a covering
letter stating the function and area in which you would prefer to work and
quoting reference PRD0053, to the Human resources Department, Laboratory
Block, Macclesfield Works, Silk Road Business Park, Charter Way,
Macclesfield, SK10 2NA. Alternatively e-mail [log in to unmask]
