Exploring choices for statistical computing and graphics:
Open source and proprietary options.

A 1-day workshop February 15, 2002 at
Camsel Hall, 580 Booth Street,
Ottawa, Ontario (intersection at Booth & Carling)

The goal of this workshop is to present and discuss the wide-ranging
computing and graphics capabilities available today both in the
market and for free. We will explore the potential these offer for
developing well-tailored computing and graphics environments for
diverse statistical needs.

Co-sponsored by the Bureau of Biostatistics and Computer Applications,
Food Directorate, Health Canada

1200-1300: Lunch (provided in registration)

     An overview and categorization of downloadable statistical software.

Participants may pose questions to any of the speakers or make comments
on the ideas raised. We encourage prior submission of questions to

the best possible responses and cover all the issues raised.

It is intended to have a web-page of materials posted after the meeting.
