Research Assistant/Data Manager
Applications are invited from graduates with an IT or statistics/quantitative
psychology background to fill the post of research assistant on two projects
co-directed by Professors Caspi and Moffitt in the Institute's Social,
Genetic
and Developmental Psychiatry Research Centre. The research investigates the
development of behaviour disorders using a twin study of children and a
longitudinal study of adults. The post involves database design, management
of datasets, and statistical analysis working closely with the project
statistician.
Applicants should have a good working knowledge of database management and
statistical analysis (eg using STATA/SPSS/ACCESS), as well as experience of
computerised systems for managing research projects. Previous experience of
managing large and complex datasets and knowledge of research design is
highly
desirable.
Starting salary up to £23,424 pa (inclusive of London Allowance), depending
on
qualifications and experience.
