"Data Visualisation in Statistical Analysis: What Do We Have And What
Do We Need?"
Our November meeting will be on 20th November at Cathays Park,
Cardiff. The seminar will be from the Ministry of Defence
Information (with insight) to help the Armed Forces
The Defence Analytical Services Agency is part of the Ministry of
Defence and the Government Statistical Service, and employs 170
people including about 20 professional statisticians. On 20 November,
Glen Watson, Steve Walton, Jason Bradbury and Claire Blackmore will
provide a taster of the wide variety of statistical work undertaken
by DASA. Specific topics will include military personnel statistics,
health and mortality statistics and the impact of Defence activity on
the UK economy.
