Has anyone experience in producing advertising material for the US.
A client has completed a trial that shows their product is superior
to a competitor. Lets say that the estimate is as follows:
percentage improvement against comp: 100% (95% CI: 40-200%).
They want to make a claim along the lines 50% better than x. This
is obviously still within the 95% CI for the difference, but do you
have to quote the bottom of the CI in an advert? I find it hard to
believe that in "8 out of 10 cats prefer whiskas" 8 is the bottom end
of the CI.
