Health effects of long-term exposure to air pollutants in Scotland.

The University of Strathclyde is co-ordinating a Department of Health
funded project on the effect of long-term exposure to air pollutants on
human health. We will have a vacancy for a statistician/epidemiologist
for a research fellowship (3 year fixed term) based in the University of
Strathclyde.
The appointee will be responsible for analyses of the relationships
between exposure to air pollutants and health outcomes in the general
population and in cohort sub-groups.
The appointee will have a postgraduate qualification in statistics or a
numerate discipline. Proven research experience in medical statistics or
epidemiology will be highly advantageous.
Starting salary will be on the AR1A scale between 20,272-27,288 p.a.
(salary figures subject to pending review) depending on experience and
qualifications. Start date to be arranged in the period 1 November 2002
- 1 March 2003.
