Medical Statistician
Research & Development Support Unit
Department of Medical Sciences, University of Bath
The Department of Health, South Region R&D, fund a network of Research &
Development Support Units to provide expert advice and assistance on the
design and conduct of R&D projects to health care professionals.
This is a challenging and varied post based in the Pan- Bath and Swindon
Research & Development Support Unit. The successful applicant will work
closely with the Unit's other Medical Statistician, providing advice and
support on the development, execution and analysis of research projects
and clinical trials, as well as contributing to introductory research
methods training courses.
The successful applicant should have a BSc in Medical Statistics,
Statistics or Epidemiology and, preferably, an MSc and/or experience in
a health related research environment. Excellent interpersonal and
organisational skills are a prerequisite for this post.
The post is available full time or part time and will be fixed term
until March 2004. Starting salary will be up to £26,491 per annum (or
pro rata) according to qualifications and experience.
