Fixed term for one year
Applications are invited from experienced academics and educational technologists to contribute to the University's managed learning environment project and virtual learning environment initiative. We require
an enthusiastic and organized evangelist to focus on supporting academic staff who are creating online courses and to help evaluate the costs and benefits of online teaching within the University. We are therefore looking
for someone who can demonstrate the ability to work closely with academics,
technical staff and senior management.
The main areas of responsibility will be:
To play a key role in the University's strategy to foster, facilitate and support the use of online technologies in learning and teaching.
To assist faculty in the design and development of engaging, interactive and instructionally sound materials that address varied learning styles and
are accessible to all students, including those with disabilities.
To support and prepare materials for courses that have been identified for hybrid or online delivery as part of the managed learning environment project or teaching and learning development fund projects.
To design and deliver training programs, workshops and seminars on Internet, multimedia and other instructional technologies and their implementation.
To design and conduct evaluations of processes, materials and learning outcomes.

Salary in the range: £20,470 to £26,491 or £27,545 to £32,537 per annum.
