Dear Sirs,
we have acquired a dataset with PET images (N=70) involving two groups of
patients: the first is composed by sporadic Alzheimer's Disease patients
(AD), the second by familial AD patients (FAD). Each group in turn could be
genetically divided in ApoE 4 carriers (4+) and non-carriers (4-).
We have compared the two groups by using a compare population PET model,
examining 1) differences between AD and FAD; 2) differences between 4+ and
4-. However, two more questions arose:
1. Is there any statistical device which allows one to assess the role
played by the genotypical feature in the difference between AD and FAD? I
tried to insert ApoE as covariate of interest in a multi-subject design,
after having entered group belonging as conditions, but I'm not sure this
is the most correct tool to perform a factorial analysis (if this is the
case..).
2. Is it possible to perform a linear regression entering rCGM as dependent
variable (y) and ApoE as independent variable (x)? Do I have to use SnPM to
this aim?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Lisa
