Hi Romaon,
this is an unnerving one (and has been discussed on the list before)-
the problem is in the append-string: sometimes under Windows, SPM will
resist creating a new spm99.ps-file (or will create one of 0 byte size).
Then, it will resist any attempts to append to it. If you remove the
append parameter from the default print string, you should be fine.
Otherwise, an alternative approach is to always keep an empty
spm99.ps-file handy. Problem is, in order to make SPM99 to write to it,
you must quit MATLAB first since otherwise you get a sharing violation,
or you must put it in your work-directory before you fire up SPM.
Perhaps temporarily changing the output file-format might help, too, but
I never tried this.
