Not to sound like a broken record, but....
I have constructed a "Labor Market Issues" web site of introductory
materials on the agent-based modelling of worker/employers in dynamic
evolutionary labor market contexts that includes suggested readings as well
as pointers to software, to related web sites of interest, and to
researchers in the area, accessible at
http://www.econ.iastate.edu/tesfatsi/alabor.htm
Actually, the reason I keep answering these different requests for
introductory materials is that --- for my course on agent-based
computational economics (ACE) -- I have constructed 16 separate research
area web sites that provide introductory materials on agent-based modelling
for the following 16 topics:
General introduction to agent-based modelling;
Learning and the embodied mind;
Evolution of market protocols and social norms;
Formation of Economic and Social networks;
Technological Change and Economic Growth;
Financial Market Issues;
Agricultural and Natural Resource Issues;
Labor Market Issues;
Restructured Electricity Markets;
Auction Markets;
Political Economy;
Organizations;
Automated Markets, E-Commerce, and the "New Economy";
Network, Path-Dependence, and Lock-In Effects;
Using Computational Laboratories to Test Agent Representations and Market
Designs;
Parallel Experiments with Real and Computational Agents.
A list of pointers to these 16 research area web sites can be found at
http://www.econ.iastate.edu/tesfatsi/aapplic.htm
The latter site (titled "Research Areas") is linked to the main ACE web site at
http://www.econ.iastate.edu/tesfatsi/ace.htm
Each research area site includes suggested introductory readings as well as
pointers to software, to related web sites, and to the home pages of active
researchers in the area. Suggestions for additional materials of an
accessible introductory nature are welcome.
Best wishes,
