Have you tried the Wellcome Trust? They are excellent on tropical
medicines and may have stuff in this area.

Subject: Microbial diseases and the media
Hello
This may be a bit of a long shot, but is anyone
familiar with any studies about the
representation/reporting of microbial diseases in the
media?
I have been trying to find some papers or reports
about the subject but with little joy. Any advice
will be gratefully received.
Many thanks, in advance.
