*** Write in Your Face
Write in Your Face is a young writers' initiative of the
Literature
Board of the Australia Council. We are offering grants to
for a range
of one-off projects that might not otherwise fit the
Literature
Board's eligibility guidelines.
To apply you should be aged between 16 and 30 years of age.
Write in
Your Face invites proposals seeking funding for
collaborative
projects involving young writers, which could include, but
are not
limited to, the creation, production, promotion, and
distribution of:
* spoken word/performance events
* zines/ezines/webzines
* comics
* web-based projects
* cd-roms
Projects involving self-publication of single author titles
are not
eligible.
The Board will consider proposals requesting support of up
to $5,000.
We are looking for proposals that best demonstrate:
* innovative excellence
* potential to advance the artistic expression and
development of young
writers
* clearly identified aims and anticipated outcomes
* evidence that the proposed program is well planned and
achievable
within the timeframe and budget. Your proposal should be no
more
than five A4 pages and should include the following:
* a detailed description of the planned project addressing
the
selection criteria outlined above
* a comprehensive one-page budget
* a brief CV (limit 2 pages) for the writers and other
artistic
personnel involved.
The closing date for submissions to Write in Your Face is 14
June 2002.
Submissions postmarked after that date will be ineligible.
Activities for which funding is requested should not
commence before
30 September 2002 and must be completed by 30 September
2003.
